Endometriosis

Dr. Tan is not a trained specialist in medical management of endometriosis. He will only see patients with endometriosis if referred by another Specialist Gynaecologist. These often include patients who have severe endometriosis involving the bowel or other organs requiring complex surgical excision. The risk of malignant conversion of endometriosis is low, less than 1%, and Dr. Tan will also see lesions suspicious of malignancy or if the tumour markers in the blood are markedly elevated.
